Jason D. Demastus

Jason D. Demastus received his Juris Doctorate in 2004 from the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelors degree in History. Jason began his career with the firm in 2002 as a law clerk and now practices in the areas of criminal defense, matrimonial litigation, general litigation, business formation, debtor/creditor relations and corporate workout and bankruptcy as well as representing the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee in adversary proceedings.

Jason is licenced in both Tennessee and Alabama as well as in the Federal Courts for Eastern District of Tennessee and the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama and has represented clients before the Federal Courts and all levels of the Tennessee judicial system, including the Supreme Court of Tennessee.

Jason is a board member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Chattanooga Bar Association, Redoubt Soccer Association and the Alumni Gold Council of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Jason is a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Tennessee Association of Defense Lawyers and American Association for Justice. He is also a member of the Justices Ray L. Brock, Jr.- Robert E. Cooper American Inn of Court, and has most recently been appointed as a special prosecutor by the Tennessee District Attorney General’s Conference.
