R. Jeffrey Wolford
Robert (Jeff)rey Wolford earned his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1999; he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Columbus State University in 1992, and in 99 he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with concentrated studies in Journalism, from The University of Georgia.
Mr. Wolford is licensed in the State of Georgia and the State of Tennessee and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Tennessee, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. He focuses on Workers’ Compensation Law, Personal Injury Law, Social Security Disability Law, Veterans Benefits Law, Consumer Protection Law, Business and Commercial Litigation, and Chapter 11 Business Bankruptcy Law. Mr. Wolford also handles all phases of business formation and advises small and medium sized business owners concerning early planning, development, and implementation of a business model, all the way through to the many legal issues that often involve businesses and may result in litigation.
Mr. Wolford is a faculty member with the University of Phoenix (Chattanooga Campus) and is an adjunct professor with the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He instructs primarily in the areas of Business Law & Ethics, U.S. Constitutional Law and State & Local Government. Mr. Wolford also instructs as an adjunct professor at Northwest Georgia Technical College, Department of Business and Office Technology.
As a former active duty U.S. Army Infantry Paratrooper (1992 - 96), SGT Wolford served more than 21 months deployed to various hazardous fire zones which include: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and Kuwait. In 2005 Mr. Wolford returned to military service and joined the U.S. Army National Guard. He now serves as a commissioned officer in the Judge Advocate General and is attached to the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne), in addition to the 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. CPT Wolford will deploy to Afganistan during the fall of 2009 and is scheduled to return during the Fall of 2010.
